Summer has ended and a new school year has begun, which means flu season is upon us. The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death.  The simplest and most effective way to protect yourself, your family, and your friends from the virus is to get your flu shot – sooner rather than later.

That’s why AdvantageCare Physicians created a group to encourage New Yorkers to get vaccinated and take other essential steps to protect themselves, and those around them, from contagious illnesses – we call it: Immunity Community.

Why should I join the Immunity Community?

It’s simple: the more people who are protected against illnesses like the flu, the less people are at-risk of catching it. And, with school now in session, it’s especially important to get your kids (and yourself) vaccinated. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, children under the age of five have a very high risk of catching the flu and spreading the virus to other children, caretakers, and family members.

¿Cómo me inscribo?

AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY) se compromete a que todos sus pacientes se vacunen contra el flu, por lo tanto, estamos ofreciendo programar una consulta. All you have to do to become part of the Immunity Community is get your flu shot at any one of our locations throughout the New York City boroughs. Schedule your appointment today!
